Education in wildlife, nature & environment

at The Ark Open Farm

Education

Children are our main focus at The Ark and we feel their Education

into the world of nature, wildlife and environment is as important as

academic subjects.

Introduce your pupils to farming, food and the environment right

here at the Ark Farm.At the Ark Farm we are very passionate about

children's education into the world of nature, farming and the

environment.

Guided tours are tailored to suit all ages and needs of your group.

Tours are led by an experienced member of staff who have a wealth

of knowledge about the animals and the farm environment.  We

encourage lots of hands on active learning, through cuddling some

animals and feeding lots too.

We can work the tour around subjects the children are learning in

school. For example if its about a certain animal, life cycle, habitat or

time of year we can focus more on this to help give the children more

information on what they are learning.

For older children that have moved on the little farm animal stage,

we have a Creepy Crawly Loft which is full of minibeasts, reptiles and

a couple of rare animals.  We understand older children start to learn

about minibeasts, their anatomy, habitat, so at The Ark Farm, we can

show them exactly this and let them get up close with bigger versions

of the normal minibeasts they see in their garden!

Prices for groups of 15 children and more are £5.00 per child (add

50p if a break is required)  1 adult free to every 5 children.  Each

extra adult is £5.00

We can take in any size group, whether it be one class or a whole

school - we have plenty of facilities for everyone.

Attached to this section is a calendar with all the dates of Educational

Activities happening on the farm and the dates they will be

happening.

Give us a call to discuss what we can do for your pupils.
